Elizabeth (All-Terrain Photographer)

Elizabeth. Okay no one really knows me as Elizabeth, well except maybe the tellers at the bank. Everyone calls me Lisa. So why not Lisa Baird Photography? Well back when I started my business there was someone else with that business name… so I went with my given name. Sort of a boring story, my assistant wanted me to bend the truth and say it had something to do with my time in the CIA…

I have always loved photography and being creative. I stumbled upon it as a profession.  After taking photos as several friend’s weddings, I started getting requests for enlargements when I realized I was on to something. I am passionate about capturing the love and intimacy between people, the sass of a two year old, the warmth of a family, the emerging adult in the high school senior.

I love taking pictures! My assistant would say I take too many of them, but how can there be too many?  I’m known for climbing trees, laying on the ground or jumping up and down to get the shot. Oh and for my talking chicken Fred. Hey you try to get a crying 2 year old to look at the camera & smile. I believe that life is art. Let us capture the beauty of your fleeting moments.

I have a way with the talking chicken. I really didn’t like Fred when I met him, he was LOUD and well rubber. But when you’re trying to get small children to look at the camera and smile, he is the bomb!  I love being part of such a creative business and helping support such an incredibly talented photographer. I also like knowing that after you have your portraits done that you are not going to put “order pictures” on your to do list and the next thing you know your 3 year old will be graduating from college. Or buy a few images from your session and lose them in a pile of paperwork on your desk. I will even come over and help you choose what photos you love, I will have them printed and then I will come to your house and hang them up in your living room for you. Seriously. It makes me sad if the photos don’t make it from the website to your walls.

The Two Lisa’s

It always confuses people that we’re both named Lisa. You would think it would make it easier, it’s just one name to remember. Two is always more fun than one! Speeding tickets aside. We love what we do! And we love getting creative to get those fantastic pictures of you!
